REVIEWS :-
General Motors plans to launch a few products from the SAIC stable in India. The Sail twins – the hatchback and sedan are already here, and next in line is the seven-seater MUV, the Wuling CN 100. Chevrolet has renamed this vehicle as, the Enjoy. The new MUV will compete with the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Mahindra Quanto in the entry-level segment.
The Enjoy was unveiled at the 2012 Auto Expo in New Delhi, although the American car maker did not divulge any further details. The MVP has been spotted testing several times and more than few details are now available on the web.
Exteriors:
The Enjoy is bigger than its competitors. It has a typical Chevy front with the golden bowtie sitting in the middle of the grille. The MPV has sharp and edgy headlamps that look marginally smaller than the headlamp console of the Sail twins. The basic shape is of a standard passenger vanone that we are used to seeing on the Toyota Innova.
A bold shoulder line that runs along the door handles and a waist line between the two wheels are the only prominent elements on the otherwise plain side profile. The tailgate design is simple and clean, which will help them save money during production.
Interiors:
The MPV has Chinese lineage, so rest assure that it will have decent interior space. The vehicle will be available with standard 2+3+3 seating configuration and 2+2+3 seating with bucket seats for the middle row. Like the Sail twins, this vehicle will get beige interior for all variants. The top-end variants will get features like music player with USB and bluetooth, steering mounted audio controls, A/C ducts for second row, ABS-EBD and two airbags.
Chevrolet needs to improve the interior quality of the new vehicles – the colour combinationsare right but the fir and finish needs to improve drastically. The Enjoy has flexible rear seating as the second and third row of seats can be folded flat for extra luggage space, which is almost non-existent with third row in place.
Engine / Transmission:
The Enjoy will be powered by the 1.3-litre multijet diesel engine– the one that is jointly developed by Fiat and GM. The GM version produces 77bhp and 205Nm of torque; when used in the Sail U-VA hatchback the drive feels better than the units used by Fiat, Tata and Maruti. However, the Enjoy is a big car and hence we feel it is slightly underpowered. Also the direct competitors of the Enjoy – the Maruti Ertiga and the Mahindra Quanto deliver 90bhp and 100bhp respectively.
GM will also introduce a new 1.4-litre petrol engine with the Enjoy that produces 77bhp and 187Nm. Both the engines will be paired with five-speed manual gearbox that powers the rear wheels. This is one of the few vehicles, where the 1.3-litre MJD diesel powers the rear wheels. The Enjoy rides on 175/65/R14 tyres, which look too small for its size – we have seen similar tyres at work on the Nissan Evalia and apart from the puny size we didn’t have much to complaint about.
Prices:
GM will target both passenger and taxi market with the MPV. The company will be heavily banking on competitive prices to market their new product. The prices for the Enjoy are expected to start close to Rs 5.5 lakh for the petrol variants, the diesel top-end on the other hand is expected to cost around Rs 8.5 lakh. Chevrolet is expected to launch the Enjoy by the end of first quarter of 2013-14.

Mercedes-Benz A-Class Colours

Mercedes-Benz A-Class is sold in the following colours in India.
  • Jupiter Red
  • Cirrus White
  • Pollar Silver

REVIEWS :-
The 2013 A-Class is the new smallest car in the Mercedes-Benz range. The supermini was unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March and went on sale in Europe at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. This hatchback is based on the Merc’s new MFA platform (Modular Front-wheel Architecture) and will be launched in India soon.\
Unlike the previous models, the new A-Class is a proper hatchback (earlier versions were mini-MPVs). Part of Mercedes’ new radical range, this car is a looker and has already bagged over 90,000 booking in Europe. The A-Class has radical diamond shaped grilled and distinctive headlamps with DRLs (day time running lamps). The hatchback is also well sculpted with aggressive lines, which are bolder than the Hyundai Fluidic design philosophy.
The A-Class looks sporty not only from the outside, but also from the inside. It is also marginally bigger than the 1-Series hatchback, offering lot of space as compared to the premium hatchbacks like the VW Beetle and the Fiat 500.
The A-Class is available with three petrol and three diesel engine options in Europe. The petrol lineup consists of A180 with 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol producing 122bhp, A200 with same engine tuned to produce 156bhp and A250 powered by 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol developing 211bhp. The diesel options include A180CDI churning out 109bhp and 250Nm from 1.8-litre turbocharged mill, A200CDI with output of 136bhp and 300Nm, along with A220CDI having 2.2-litre diesel producing 170bhp and 350Nm of torque.

In India, we will get the A180 1.6-litre base petrol variant of the A-Class, along with the 1.8-litre turbo diesel mill that also powers the B-Class. The hatchback has been caught testing in Pune near Merc’s facility and the test mule had AMG body-kit. We expect German car maker to offer limited units with the body-kit at the time of the launch similar to the offering at the launch of the ML350.

Mercedes will assemble the A-Class in India for competitive pricing. The A-Class is part of the new Mercedes range with front-wheel-drive, making it cost effective. The car will slot in below the B-Class with starting price of around Rs 18 lakh. We expect that the new smallest and most affordable Mercedes will be launched in India by March 2013.

Mahindra Verito Vibe (CS) Colours

Mahindra Verito Vibe (CS) is sold in the following colours in India.
  • Aqua Rush
  • Torredar Red
  • Dolphin Grey
  • Diamond White
  • Java Brown
  • Fiery Black
  • Mist Silver

REVIEWS :-
The Verito offers a lot of value because it offers a lot for very little money. It was born as a Dacia, Renault-Nissan’s budget badge, and sold in India in collaboration with Mahindra as the Logan. A facelift or two later, it was solely a Mahindra product and rebadged the Verito. The Verito has moved upmarket bit by bit, while still managing to keep its price tag at the ‘value’ end of the scale.
With the new Verito Vibe, Mahindra will apply the same funda in the hatchback segment. The uncamouflaged spy pictures of the Vibe are all over the internet and the first thing you notice is that it is not a compact sedan (CS) at all. The new sub-four metervehicle is a big hatchback that looks proportional and hence appealing, unlike few others who took the ‘CS sedan’ route to avail tax benefits.
Design:
The Verito Vibe looks very similar to its elder sibling from the front, although there are a few alterations to the headlight console. The spy car also had protective cover around the front grille, it is probably to cover the chrome bits also seen in the sedan. The Vibe also has black roof-rails exactly like the one found on the sedan. The difference between the two cars is most noticeable from the side and the rear. The new car without the three-box design appears like a small wagon from the side angle; the same profile also makes it evident that it has ample boot space. The rear design is bold with the thick tail lamp console and part of the boot-lid acting as spoiler.

Interior:
A large part of the Verito’s appeal is in its sheer interior volume, and that will remain with the shortened Verito. The interiors of the sedan were refreshed with the facelift in last August and those will continue on the new Vibe. The top-end hatchback is expected to get two-tone interiors with decent quality fit and finish. There is ample space in the front to accommodate full-size adults and just about enough to comfortably seat three on the flat rear-bench. The boot space of the new car is expected to be larger than its competitors and even few entry-level sedans. It is expected to be around 350-litre – that is more than space available in the Swift Dzire.
Features:
If all the features from the Verito sedan are offered with the Vibe, then the top-end version will have 2-DIN music system from the Xylo with Aux-in and USB, power window switched on driver-side door, ABS-EBD and driver side airbag. Mahindra might omit the steering and driver seat height adjustment as they are missing from the sedan.
Engine & Transmission:
Mahindra may launch the new Verito Vibe as diesel only model. The company does not have an apt petrol engine – less than 1200cc, to avail tax benefits and might hence skip the plans to offer a gasoline version. The diesel model will be powered by the Renault’s 1.5-litre K9K unit churning out 65bhp and 160Nm of torque. The front-wheel-drive setup will continue and hopefully the great ride and acceptable handling will also remain untouched. The fuel efficiency might also improve a bit from 21kpl of the sedan.
Prices:
The Verito Vibe is expected to start at around Rs 4.5 lakh. At that price point it will compete with the Indica Vista, Ford Figo, Maruti Swift, Nissan Micra and others in the B-Segment. The top-end version of the Verito Vibe diesel is expected to cost around Rs 6.5 lakh.

Ford Figo Review

The Figo always had the space and the efficient diesel to woo buyers, but its looks lacked the flair to pull in those still sitting on the fence. Ford has gone all out to woo the younger customer with the new Figo – vibrant paint shades on the outside are matched to new two-tone upholstery on the inside. The Bluetooth-enabled audio system is now backed up by steering-mounted audio controls in much the same way that the Renault Duster does. Yes, the rear windows still don’t have power switches, and neither do the glasses roll all the way down, but the cost of ownership for the Figo remains one of the lowest in the segment, and that coupled with the great driver’s car that it is, it appeals to both head and heart.
